After many months (since May 2011) of forced internet absences, money issues, as well as a serious power outage for TWO weeks straight, and also the fact that I have truly suffered through Hurricane Irene in the far-eastern U.S. (plus the fact I have actually moved into my newest permanent residence with my mom from between October and November 2011 after that!!), I HAVE FINALLY
RETURNED AGAIN to lead #digitalBRILLIANCE
once more, which is as always an original and fastest-growing deviantART Group that specializes in showcasing some of the most brilliantly fascinating and most excellent digital artistry ever created on this art community today, to inspire as many artists as ever to create something so truly innovative and cutting-edge in the world of Digital Art indeed... and I just want to begin by saying to all of you today that even though during my many months of dealing with a ton of such difficulties beyond my control (which prevented me from both reviewing tons upon tons of new artwork submissions and signing new and coming members into our group from over the past few months), I am very happy to announce that I have returned finally at rather long last!!!
Believe me, it sure was not easy, and I am so TERRIBLY very sorry for the severe inconvenience that has been caused as a result of all of those difficulties (
!! ). Now that I am back, I will be in full control of this dA group once again, mainly to inspire and thrive the potential of aspiring artists to create such phenomenal-quality works... part of the original job of what #digitalBRILLIANCE
does, so let’s do this!!!
Now, the issue at hand: the SOPA bill
(aka the Stop Online Piracy Act
bill, which you can read more about right here: [link]
. Personally, in all honesty, I believe with all of my heart that the bill itself is a REALLY terrible idea and just too extreme for its own damn good when it comes to combating online piracy, mainly because once that new so-called law is passed and in effect, the U.S. government will then try and take full control of the main source code
of the entire internet exclusively (thereby censoring our internet and our proper right to free speech, apparently!!), which in turn has head-on, big-time potential of *actually* invading and preying upon the privacy and artistic creativity of millions upon many countless millions of the regular, innocent internet users not just in the America, but around the ENTIRE world
as well — including the lives and well-beings of us aspiring yet blossomingly amazing, improving digital artists like you and I ourselves on deviantART, too!!!
I mean, just imagine
how you feel if the government were to go intruding on our business online and tell us how to use the internet like they are babysitting us, rather instead of us using the already-open web to thrive our positive creativity and originality to much better and more spectacularly fascinating levels in the world of Digital Art!!! I for one would be utterly, utterly pissed indeed (
!!! ), because from over the last 10+ years and counting, we have been using the internet and deviantART to inspire us to create something positive, creative, and so truly phenomenal quality digital artworks that take us to the next exciting new level and beyond, all in MUCH RATHER exciting new ways quite boldly in the concept, design, execution, and overall impact of each of our own works (which is why there are Daily Deviations given out every day on dA, after all, *just* like you see here for instance: [link]
. Not only that, but that bill would severely cripple and destroy the internet as we know it forever... do not let this happen!!!
And in order to help us get started on not letting that tragedy happen indeed, here is a video on YouTube in which U.S. Vice President Joe Biden gave quite an outstanding
speech against the so-called SOPA bill and the way his own reasons line up with what I am currently talking about, I must believe, and I HUGELY encourage you and everyone else on dA to listen to it in its complete entirety right here on YouTube, available in 720p HD:
...and please, do not forget to stand up and say NO to that most rotten government bill in internet history by going to the official Electronic Frontier Foundation
website which lets you sign a special petition to help us keep our internet and our artistic creativity online alive, like it had always been: [link]
Together, as we artists from all around the world unite on #digitalBRILLIANCE
, deviantART, and beyond...
LET US FIGHT AT ONCE to keep our amazing, positive new artistry alive!!!
It is OUR
own freedom and individual right, as the very people that we are with an intensely passionate hunger for designing newer and more excitingly original artistic innovation!!!
Now is the rather time for us to express it right this very second most encouragingly and spread the word about it hugely to inspire others quite, quite greatly, and NEVER
let some government intrude on our own creativity. Ever. Let’s rock!!!!
